Antje Øklesund/ Kollegen 2,3
Antje Øklesund was a project room located in Berlin-Friedrichshain. It acted as the foundation for the production collective Kollegen 2,3 | Bureau for Cultural Affairs, which develops artistic concepts in the fields of fine arts and music. Crucial to the work of Kollegen 2,3 are the analysis of social and cultural relations as well as questions of urban development and historical processes. With this research as a basis, the office then creates diverse events, interventions, and installations both as commissioned works and as independent artistic initiatives. However, both Antje Øklesund the venue and the work connected with it was – especially in the initial stages – mostly shaped by the process of trial and error. Then, many projects, such as the event series “Zur Transformation des Alternativen“, emerged with this approach as a foundation. So far the series has given birth to two books, both of which trace the questions of what makes a cultural space and how theses spaces can be preserved in a changing city – and in changing them, what can be transfered to new structures.
