Leandra Preissler: Kreiere deine Artist-DNA / DE

Niemand möchte sich in Schubladen stecken lassen und doch brauchen wir sie als Künstler*innen. Weshalb? Weil wir so eine Identifikationsfläche für Fans schaffen. Es ist ein bisschen wie mit Erdbeerjoghurt: Das steht auf dem Becher und jede*r weiß, was drin ist und kauft ihn sich, weil die Person eben Bock auf Erdbeergeschmack hat. Wir werden uns im Rahmen des Pop-Kultur Festivals gemeinsam zwei Stunden damit beschäftigen, wie wir solch eine Artist-DNA erstellen und vermarkten. Ganz wichtig: Wir gestalten eine individuelle DNA, bei der wir eure Highlights hervorheben und natürlich nichts dazu erfinden.

Leandra Preißler ist seit vielen Jahren in der Musikindustrie tätig. Die Veranstaltungskauffrau war Produktionsassistenz bei Festivals, Tourmanagerin und Künstler*innenbetreuerin. 2011 gründete sie mit Sophie Mathes die Managementagentur Pennywine Entertainment und absolvierte 2014 ihren Bachelor in Musikbusiness an der Popakademie. Seitdem ist sie dort federführend für die Organisation und Inhalte des Spitzenförderprogrammes Bandpool zuständig. Seit November 2021 ist sie außerdem eine der Vorständinnen des Bundesverbandes der Music Women Germany.
 
 
Define Your Artist DNA
Nobody wants to be pigeonholed, yet artists need to be. Why is that? Labels may be superficial, but they give potential fans something to latch onto. It’s a bit like strawberry yoghurt: the flavour is written on the pot so everyone knows what’s in it, and if they like the taste of strawberries, they might give it a try. In this workshop, we will spend two hours together on defining and marketing your artist DNA. Keep in mind, we will develop your unique DNA by highlighting your actual strengths – not making anything up.

Leandra Preißler has been working in the music industry for years. The event manager has also worked as a production assistant at festivals, a tour manager and an artist supervisor. In 2011, she founded the management agency Pennywine Entertainment with Sophie Mathes and in 2014, completed her bachelor’s degree in music business at the University of Popular Music And Music Business. Since then, she has been in charge of the organisation and content of the top promotion programme there, Bandspool. Since November 2021, she has also been one of the board members of the federal association Music Women Germany.
