Wooly and the Uke
Jannat Sohail alias Wooly and the Uke ist eine Musikerin und audiovisuelle Künstlerin aus dem pakistanischen Lahore, die derzeit in Berlin lebt. Jannats soziopolitischer Hintergrund hat ihren Appetit auf kreative Freiheit stets wachsen lassen und somit auch ihren künstlerischen Ausdruck stark beeinflusst. Ihre Performance für Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit Usama Siddiq und Nik Laskaridis.
Jannat Sohail aka Wooly and the Uke, is a musician and audiovisual artist from Lahore, Pakistan, currently based in Berlin. Jannat’s socio-political backdrop has profusely influenced her artistic expression, with an ever-growing appetite for creative freedom. Her performance for Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs is a collaboration with Usama Siddiq and Nik Laskaridis.
LEOPARD
LEOPARD ist pünktlich zum Beginn des neuen Jahrzehnts angetreten, um sich mit Krallen aus eingängigen Gitarrenriffs, einem sanften Fell aus Melodien und leuchtenden Augen voller ehrlicher Texte durch die Ironie der heutigen Pop-Musik zu kämpfen. Das Ziel: Make Rock‘n‘Roll a threat again!
LEOPARD just launched at the beginning of the decade, armed with claws of catchy guitar riffs, a soft coat of melody, and shining eyes full of truthful lyrics, ready to do battle with the irony of today’s Pop music. The goal: make Rock’n’Roll a threat again!
INA WEST
INA WEST macht Trance, Abstract Music und Dance-Pop, garniert mit Elementen von modernem Folk und Jazz aus Polen. Die Produzentin, Sängerin, Komponistin und Autorin verbindet nicht bloß den minimalistischen Style von Moderat mit der Energie eines Live-Auftritts von Die Antwoord, sondern auch klassische Instrumente (Schlagzeug, Percussion, Synthesizer, Bassgitarre) mit Tanzeinlagen und rauen Gesangsharmonien.
INA WEST creates trance, abstract, dance pop with elements of modern Polish folk and jazz. As a producer, vocalist, author of music and lyrics she combines the minimalist chill of Moderat with the concert energy of Die Antwoord and classical instruments – drums, percussions, synthesizers, bass guitar – with dance bits and raw vocal harmony.
Robin and the Goblins
Der skurrile Baroque Pop von Robin and the Goblins fühlt sich an, als würde man durch einen ambigen Traum geführt. Mit seiner Mischung aus feierlichen Streichern und Synthiepop, der aus einem Fantasyfilm der 80er stammen könnte, schöpft der spanische Singer/Songwriter aus seinen Erfahrungen als queerer Teenager und erkundet Themen wie Entfremdung und Hoffnung.
Robin and the Goblins‘ whimsical Baroque Pop feels like being led through a shadowy dream. Blending pastoral strings and 80s fantasy movie synthpop, the Spanish singer/songwriter draws from their experiences as a queer teen to explores themes of alienation and hope.
Ala Cya
Aus freiem Herzen und mit ehrlicher Zunge schreibt Ala Cya über sensible Themen und schickt ihre Hörer:innen auf eine Reise in deren Innerstes. Im November 2021 wird ihr Debütalbum „Reflection” erscheinen, auf dem sie mit ihrer starken, aber zerbrechlichen Stimme Klischees brechen und das gesamte Farbenspiel des Lebens reflektieren wird – wie in einem Regenbogen.
With freedom in her heart and an honest tongue Ala Cya writes about sensitive topics and gently takes the listener on a journey to their inner selves. In November 2021, her debut album “Reflection” will be released, breaking clichés with her strong but fragile voice and reflecting all the colors of life like a rainbow.
Garey Godson
Garey Godson ist ein in Nigeria geborener und in Berlin lebender Künstler und Produzent. Sein musikalischer Stil lässt sich am besten als Afro-Fusion beschreiben, eine Mischung aus afrikanischen Rhythmen, kombiniert mit globalen Einflüssen, RnB und Hip-Hop Elementen und einer breiten Repräsentation verschiedener Kulturen in seinem Sound und Lifestyle.
Garey Godson is a Nigerian born artist and Record producer based in Berlin. The best way to capture Godsons musical style is Afro-Fusion, a blend of African rhythms combined with global influences, RnB and Hip hop elements and a vast presentation of cultures in his sound and lifestyle.
