Femme Bass Mafia: DJ Workshop for FLINTA: Beginner. Hosted by Formella / EN

This workshop is for FLINTA (women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, agender) who want to start DJing. Formella will give an introduction to the gear, teach you the basics of beatmatching and mixing, show how tracks are usually structured and how to tell a story with them, and help with cueing tracks and looping.

Originally from London, with Polish and South African roots, Berlin DJ Formella quickly gained notoriety inside and outside of the city after joining the first group of Femme Bass Mafia (FBM) graduates. Formella’s unique sounds have resonated across various venues such as OYE Records parties, Tresor, Renate, ://about blank and Aeden.

FBM is the project of a passionate music crew to create a safe space for women, trans and non-binary people to learn and practice DJing. Our aim is to support like-minded people in sharing their vision of bass music.
 
 
Dieser DJ-Workshop ist für FLINTA Leute gedacht, die mit dem DJen anfangen möchten. Formella gibt eine Einführung in das Equipment, bringt Euch die Grundlagen des Mischens und des Beatmatchings bei, zeigt wie Tracks normalerweise strukturiert sind und wie man mit ihnen eine Geschichte erzählt und hilft beim Cueing von Tracks und Looping.

Femme Bass Mafia (FBM) ist das Projekt einer leidenschaftlichen Musik-Crew, um einen sicheren Raum für Frauen, trans- und nicht-binäre Menschen zum Erlernen und Ausüben des DJing zu schaffen. Unser Ziel ist es, unsere Gleichgesinnten dabei zu unterstützen, ihre Vision von Bassmusik zu teilen.
