In dem Moment, wo junge Musiker*innen den Schritt auf eine Bühne wagen, öffnen sich viele neue Herausforderungen. Ich möchte mit Euch über Eure bisherigen Live-Auftritte sprechen: Welche Probleme gab es? Wie seid ihr damit umgegangen? Ich tauche mit euch ein in die Welt der technischen Termini, der Geräte und den Umgang mit Equipment und Zeitmanagement. Anhand einer Auswahl von Mikrofonen, DI-Boxen, Kabel und Adaptern können wir Fragen klären wie: Was brauche ich für welches Instrument? Wie baue ich es auf? Was muss ich beachten? Wir erarbeiten zusammen einen technischen Rider, spielen beispielhaft die Kommunikation mit einem Festival im Vorhinein durch und besprechen die Tricks, die ihr anwenden könnt. Welchen Teil des Equipments solltet ihr selbst dabei haben? Was wird gestellt? Wie geht ihr mit Zeitdruck, Nervosität und leider auch oft mit herablassenden und bevormundendem Verhalten von Veranstaltungstechnikern um (richtet sich explizit an die FLINTA* Personen)?

Für die etwas fortgeschrittenen Musiker*innen klären wir die Fragen: Was kostet es, technisches Personal dabei zu haben? Was kann es der Band bringen, wenn am Mischpult jemand die Songs kennt und »mitspielen« kann? Wo liegen die Risiken und wo die Chancen?
 
 
The moment new musicians take the stage, challenges can arise. I would like to talk to you about the live performances you’ve had so far: What problems did you encounter? How did you deal with them? Let’s dive into the world of technical terms, devices and how to deal with equipment and time management. With a selection of microphones, DI boxes, cables and adapters, we can answer questions like: What does each instrument require? What equipment should I bring myself and what can be provided? How do I set everything up? How do I deal with the pressure of time, being nervous and, unfortunately, the often condescending speech and behaviour that many event technicians have towards FLINTA* musicians? We will develop a technical rider together, play through examples of communication with a festival and discuss certain tricks you can use.

For the more advanced musicians, we’ll address the questions: What does it cost to have technical staff with you? How can the band benefit from having someone at the mixing desk who knows the songs and can »play along«? What are the risks and what are the opportunities?
